Singapore Buddhist Welfare Services Fu Hui Youth (FHY) was established in 1999. The club was initiated by a group of young Buddhist enthusiasts who wanted a club to instill a strong sense of identity among the youths by encouraging them to be responsible, compassionate and caring individuals through Buddhism.

These enthusiasts not only attended Dharma lessons but were also involved actively in community work run by Singapore Buddhist Welfare Services (SBWS). Today, these ‘pioneers’ are still around assisting the club to flourish and grow.

Fu Hui Youth (FHY) is managed by a group of Executive Committees (EC) and an Advisory Panel consists of Dharma teachers. Currently there are about 10 members in the committee. Their main roles are to formulate programmes for the youths and delegate to the sub-committees to implement the activities, and also to work closely with SBWS community projects.

Objectives

To develop, nurture and encourage our youths to be responsible, compassionate and caring individuals while encouraging creativity and discovery, spiritual growth and greater self-awareness.
